Emory Campbell, from Brooklyn, New York, began pursuing dance at age 13 at LaGuardia High School and the Taylor School. She went on to study at The Hartt School at University of Hartford, graduating in 2016. During her time in college Emory performed works by Martha Graham, Jose Limon, Gregory Dolbashian, Loni Landon, Norbert De La Cruz III, and Take Uyama as well as performing as part of Full Force Dance Theater and Pier Group Dance. Since returning to NYC Emory has performed with The Francesca Harper Project, Bryce Dance, and Of Bones/Hollye Bynum. She also performs and choreographs as part of The Dance Collective, Zoo City Theater Group, and the Interstellar Dancers with the band Hayley Jane and the Primates. Currently, Emory is dancing for Nick Cave’s “The Let Go” at the Park Avenue Armory with The Francesca Harper Project, and with Depth Dance and The Dance Collective.
