Being part of the BDC Competition Team is about so much more than competitions and trophies. It’s about dedication, discipline, commitment, passion, and pride—and being part of a team that challenges and inspires each dancer to become their very best.

​

At BDC, we believe great dancers are developed through exceptional training, dedicated teachers, and an environment that encourages dancers to dream big. Our training is of the highest caliber, with a faculty made up of college-educated dancers, professional performers, accomplished educators, and industry professionals who bring years of experience in dance, performance, choreography, and teaching to our studio.

Our goal is not simply to create great competition dancers, but to give every dancer the technical foundation, artistry, confidence, discipline, and work ethic they need to succeed wherever their journey takes them. We are incredibly proud that our dancers have gone on to be accepted into highly respected dance and performing arts programs, including the Mark Twain Dance Department, LaGuardia High School, Joffrey Ballet at Fort Hamilton, Professional Performing Arts High School, and Brooklyn High School of the Arts. Many have continued their education at outstanding colleges and universities such as Marymount Manhattan College, Fordham University, the University of Hartford, The Juilliard School, NYU, Pace University, AMDA, and many other renowned programs.

But our greatest accomplishment is watching our dancers grow—not only as performers, but as people. Dance teaches them to work hard when things are difficult, to persevere when they are challenged, to celebrate the accomplishments of others, and to believe in themselves. These are lessons that stay with them long after they leave the stage.

At BDC, we celebrate every achievement and stand together through every challenge. We cheer for one another, push one another, and never leave a teammate behind. Because when one BDC dancer shines, we all shine.
